Come join us for The Food Depot’s signature event- The Souper Bowl XXVIII! For 28 years, The Food Depot has invited the community to join us for this friendly soup competition between 25+ local chefs, who aim to win the hearts and stomachs of attendees by earning the most votes, either in their category or for the coveted distinction of “Best Soup in Santa Fe.” All proceeds from this event go to support The Food Depot’s food security work in Northern New Mexico.

In this workshop participants use a versatile ‘Paint Over’ technique to create original artworks full of depth and meaning using a variety of mediums from gouache and acrylic to oils and ephemera. All the technical aspects needed for success are covered in addition to exploring your artistic voice. This discipline can be as meaningful or as whimsical as you choose to make it. Original photographs will not be damaged if you are choosing to work with a photo near and dear to your heart.

Using professional quality materials students will learn about the creative process, receive one on one guidance from professional artist and instructor Stacy Nixon, explore different art mediums, and create some gorgeous holiday gifts for friends and family.
