Here we are my friends, summer! My favorite time of year. I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather and getting out and about and visiting our Santa Fe businesses. I love when we, as designers and consumers, are lucky enough to get new local resources. And in July we will have a new one! While you are running around town, stop in to visit our newest business friends and design resource, Stonewood Flooring. I have been working with Stonewood for a little over two years now and have enjoyed every minute of the interactions and business dealings we have had. As much as I love visiting Stonewood’s beautiful showroom in Albuquerque, I am soooo overjoyed that they have acquired space in the Pacheco Park community, right here in Santa Fe. Stonewood is a New Mexico family-owned business that has been a part of the design/contracting community since opening their doors in Albuquerque in August of 2012.
My favorite part of Stonewood Flooring having a Santa Fe showroom is that they have announced the welcoming in of longtime Santa Fe tile designer and flooring expert Lois DeLaura into their family! There is nothing as special as the relationship between interior designers and their suppliers and their resources, so I have to tell you, Lois is a favorite resource of mine and a dear friend. We have been working together for 15 years and we have come up with some beautiful tile installations. She has been such an amazing source of information for all of us in the interior design community. So for me, it is such a delight that Lois has joined the Stonewood team. The design community and the consumers of Santa Fe are very lucky to get a beloved friend back and to make some new friends. (Lois and can now get back to sharing our love of beautiful tile and laughing hysterically together.)
Lois is also very pleased to be associated with this wonderful showroom and cannot wait to get together with all of her cherished friends and clients. More exciting news! David Garcia and Jessica Savage, who both have been a part of the design community for a very long time, and are much loved by their fellow professionals, will be joining the Stonewood team as well. Mike Rivera of Stonewood had this to say when I asked about the move: “We work with store dealers, designers, builders, contractors, installers and homeowners, making sure you are well equipped with the products and information about the materials you are making a part of your home. We are now expanding into the Santa Fe Area to partner with like-minded professionals to broaden the customer service we offer in Albuquerque.”
I know Mike and Lois are very much looking forward to the adventures that await Stonewood Flooring and their amazing team. I can’t wait to see what they can contribute to our interior design world of resources. I am confident that their Santa Fe showroom will be every bit as polished and beautiful as their Albuquerque one. So, again, please welcome Stonewood Flooring. I know each and every one of them would welcome you, and your interior designer in for a visit and/or a consult.
